Future forward

September 21, 2010
Hey guys...

It ain't about the "Good 'ole Days".

It's about our amazing future.

Eyes, ears, mouth, feet, and hands are all meant to move us forward.  We're designed for our future.

Let's go...

See ya Sunday.

Thoughts from Sunday's message

So...

One day long ago, or maybe not so long ago, did someone show up, or speak up in your life that helped you find and follow Christ?

Are you thankful for that awkward moment?  That difficult conversation?

It bothers me when I ask myself these questions:

"When was the last time I spoke to a friend about Jesus?"
"When I'm with non-Christ-followers, do they know I'm a Christ-follower?"
"That person I was just speaking with - Did he see anything in me that would make him want to ask me about my faith?"

Ouch. That hurts.

C'mon Greg.  Get back in the game...

What on earth are we here for?

"A picture of your preferable future."   We call that - Vision.

At Bethel Murfreesboro, we have a picture, a vision, a preferable future full of helping people find and follow Jesus.

So then, everything we do should help people grow in a personal relationship with their Creator, right?

Parties? Potluck? Picnics? I love BBQ & Baseball with my friends, but are these key activities in bringing people to a personal faith in Jesus Christ, or growing people's faith in God?  Yes? Great!   No? Then why do we do what we do?

First things first.

When we gather on Sundays and in small groups during the week, let us never forget those who are lost and hopeless without Christ.

See ya Sunday...
